Toorak House by Field Office Architecture and Jane Williams Architects

Toorak House is home to a client who appreciates design and enjoys entertaining. Our minimalist lighting throughout the house provides practical and ambient lighting, while letting the highly detailed architecture and design be the star the home.

Toorak House is a sophisticated, contemporary and highly detailed residence designed by Field Office Architecture and Jane Williams Architects. As a sole occupant, the client wanted a home that felt intimate and comfortable when alone, and warm and welcoming when entertaining family and friends. It also needed to reflect their interest in design and display their treasured artworks and objects.

The kitchen island is the showpiece of the living space and a place for guests to gather around. We created a custom black Profilo tube pendant to complement the sleek joinery and minimalist palette of the kitchen. Made of extruded aluminium with an opal diffuser, the Profilo casts directional and ambient lighting over the island.

With a timber-slat ceiling, the wine room exudes sophistication and warmth, enhanced with light from above and below. The recessed Incasso downlight is unobtrusive, while the surface-mounted Cilindro Mini light is designed for visual comfort and reduced glare.

Our Lola light is the perfect complement to the organic formed staircase, its minimalist design allowing the staircase to be the star of the show.
