Dill Pickle Club by Workshop Architecture

Located on the first floor of a 1960s building in Launceston’s St John Street, the Dill Pickle Club, designed by Workshop Architecture, is a unique listening bar dedicated to high-quality sound and the lingering enjoyment of music. To complement the hi-fidelity experience, the interior blends multiple design influences—dark blackwood-lined trusses that recall Eastern Bloc modernism, the warm luxury of a jazz age speakeasy, and subtle nods to vintage audio like gold records and reel-to-reel tape players. Together, these elements create a rich, atmospheric space that transports guests while offering stunning elevated views.

Hospitality lighting plays a key role in setting the mood. The Luna surface-mounted fixture, named for its circular floating disc reminiscent of a full moon, casts a soft, uniform glow that enhances the intimate ambiance. Complementing this, the Europa pendant features a large textured acrylic diffuser with a delicate fibre pattern similar to a paper lantern, delivering evenly diffused, warm light, throughout. Suspended from a minimalist aluminium plate with a customisable white braided cord, Europa’s sleek, versatile design suits residential, hospitality, and commercial settings alike—perfectly aligning with the club’s sophisticated and inviting atmosphere.
