Located on the mezzanine level of Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery by Sofitel, the Holism Retreat is a rejuvenating day spa where visitors can relax and recharge their body and soul. Studio Tate conceived the space as an urban sanctuary, with a muted colour palette, natural materials, sculptural forms and diffused lighting.

Geometric shapes – circles, squares and rectangles – dominate the architectural forms, furnishings, fixtures and lighting. The bijou foyer features two circular pink granite plinths with brass trim; and there are curved walls, arched openings and circular mirrors. Sphera O-lamps are set to each side of these mirrors and openings. Their simplicity of the satin, blown-glass diffuser provides elegant decoration as well as functional light.
